Our Story

We started RoutineRisekid because we kept seeing the same pattern: children who build self-drive early often thrive later. 🌱

For over ten years, we have worked in and around education, learning design, and child development. During that time, we saw many different kinds of children: some naturally curious, some highly capable but easily discouraged, some who needed more structure, and some who simply needed a better way to feel proud of their effort. 🧠

While studying and working across the United States and Asia, we became especially interested in one question:

What helps a child become more independent—not just academically, but in everyday life?

Again and again, we noticed that children with stronger self-motivation and follow-through often had an advantage. They were not always the fastest learners or the most naturally talented. But they were more likely to keep trying, take ownership, and recover from setbacks. 💪

As educators and builders, we began to wonder: what if families had a simple tool to nurture those skills at home?

Not through nagging. 🛑
Not through pressure. ⏱️
Not through rewards alone. 🏆

But through small daily wins, consistent routines, gentle accountability, and encouragement that helps children see themselves as capable. ✨

That idea became RoutineRisekid: a habit-building app designed to help kids grow independence one small step at a time. 🚀

With graduate training from UIUC in Data and AI, I’ve seen how powerful technology can be. But I believe its greatest success is when it remains invisible—acting as a quiet, supportive partner for families rather than another screen to manage. My hope is to create tools that help you see and celebrate the small, everyday wins that define your child’s growth.

My time studying Education Entrepreneurship at UPenn and working across Singapore and the U.S. taught me that while every culture is different, every child thrives on the same thing: confidence. I’m passionate about turning the "daily grind" into moments of genuine encouragement, helping families build a foundation of independence through calm, consistent routines.
