1. Who we are

RoutineRisekid ("we", "us", "our") provides a habit and routine app for children and a supporting app for parents. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have. It covers our website at routinerisekid.com and the RoutineRisekid mobile apps.

2. Accounts are managed by parents

Children do not create their own accounts and do not log in independently. A parent or guardian creates the account, adds a child profile, and stays in control of it. Because a parent sets up every profile and supplies the information in it, the parent decides what we receive about their child and can change or remove it at any time.

3. Information we collect

Parent account information. Your email address and authentication details, used to create and secure your account and to contact you about the service.

Child profile information. A first name or nickname and an age or age range, entered by the parent. We use age only to suggest age-appropriate habits. We do not ask for a child's photograph, address, phone number, or precise location.

Habit and routine activity. The routines set up in the app and records of when tasks are marked complete. This is the core of the product: it produces streaks, progress views, and the weekly summaries parents see.

Analytics and diagnostics. Aggregate usage information and crash reports that tell us which features are used and where the app fails. We use this to fix problems and improve the product, not to build advertising profiles.

Messages you send us. If you contact us through the website form or by email, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not show third-party advertising in the app. We do not use facial recognition. We do not track precise location. We do not build advertising profiles of children or share children's personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

5. How we use information

We use the information above to run the service, personalise routine suggestions to a child's age, show parents their family's progress, keep accounts secure, diagnose faults, and respond when you contact us. We do not use children's information for marketing.

6. Website analytics and embedded services

Our website uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count visits and see which pages are read. Umami does not use advertising cookies and does not track visitors across other websites. Our contact page embeds a form provided by Tally, which receives the details you type into that form so we can reply. Some pages load animation and font libraries from third-party content delivery networks, which receive your IP address as a normal part of serving those files.

7. Children's privacy

RoutineRisekid is designed for children's routines but is intended to be set up and operated by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child without the parent who created the account providing it. A parent can review the information in their child's profile, correct it, or delete it at any time from within the app, and can ask us to delete it by contacting us.

8. How information is stored and secured

Account and habit data is stored using Google Firebase, which hosts our database, authentication, and server functions. Data is protected in transit and at rest, and access is limited to people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your family's information.

9. How long we keep information

We keep account and habit information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise the associated personal information, except where we must keep records to meet a legal obligation.

10. Your choices and rights

You can review and edit your account and your child's profile in the app at any time, delete a child profile or your whole account, and contact us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make a significant change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, tell account holders directly.

12. Contact us

Questions about privacy, or a request about your family's data, can be sent through our contact page.
