Welcome to RoutineRise kid.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the RoutineRise kid mobile application (the “App”), the website at routinerisekid.com, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). These Terms form an agreement between you and the independent developer operating RoutineRise kid (referred to in these Terms as “RoutineRise kid,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, purchasing a Premium subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Please also review our [Privacy Policy][privacy-policy], which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
To create a RoutineRise kid Family Account, you must be at least 18 years old and have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction. A “Family Account” is an account through which an authorized adult manages child profiles and family activities.
When you create or manage a child profile, you confirm that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or that you have obtained authorization from the child’s parent or legal guardian. You must have the necessary authority to provide and manage information about that child. This confirmation does not replace any separate parental consent required by applicable law.
Children join an adult-managed Family Account using a six-digit code provided by the account holder. They cannot independently create Family Accounts, purchase Premium subscriptions, invite family members, or change parental settings. Children may use child mode to review habits, mark them as completed, and redeem family rewards under the guidance and supervision of an authorized adult. Weekly analyses and AI Weekly Insights are available only in parent mode.
You are responsible for keeping your account, any third-party accounts used to sign in, and devices signed in to your account secure. You are responsible for activity you conduct or authorize through your account. Do not give parental access to anyone who is not authorized to view or manage the relevant child’s profile. Contact us promptly if you become aware of unauthorized access.
2. The Service
RoutineRise kid helps families manage children’s habits, daily routines, tasks, rewards, and family rules.
Features may include age-appropriate habit suggestions, task reminders, completion tracking, streaks, coins, rewards, parental review, Photo Confirmation, family rules, weekly summaries, and AI Weekly Insights. Some features are free; others require an active Premium subscription. Available features are described in the App and on the relevant subscription purchase screen.
RoutineRise kid does not replace parental supervision or judgment. Parents and guardians are responsible for choosing habits, tasks, rewards, and family rules that suit their child’s age, abilities, health needs, and family circumstances.
3. Child Profiles and Family Content
A child profile is part of an adult-managed Family Account. It is not an independent account created or owned by the child.
You must not create a profile for someone else’s child without authorization. You should also avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information in child profiles, tasks, notes, or photos.
Child profiles, habits, rewards, family rules, notes, task feedback, photos, and other content you create or upload through the Service are collectively called “Family Content.” You retain any rights you hold in your Family Content. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to provide it and that it is lawful and accurate.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, transmit, process, display, and delete Family Content only as necessary to operate and maintain the Service for your family, synchronize data, protect account security, provide technical support, and meet legal obligations. Service providers acting on our behalf may process Family Content for these purposes, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
This license does not authorize us to publish children’s photos publicly, sell them, use them for advertising, or use them to train AI models.
The license ends when the relevant content or account is deleted, except to the limited extent necessary to complete deletion, manage restricted backup copies, or retain limited records for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy where permitted or required by law. It does not authorize additional uses of retained Family Content.
4. Photo Confirmation
Photo Confirmation is an optional Premium feature that is turned off by default. The account holder must enable it and is responsible for guiding and supervising the child’s use of the feature.
Photos are used to help authorized adults within the Family Account confirm whether a task has been completed. They may also be processed as necessary for security, technical support, deletion, and legal compliance, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You must have the necessary rights and permissions to upload each photo. Avoid including faces, home addresses, school details, identification documents, medical records, payment information, passwords, or other private information unrelated to confirming the task.
You must not upload photos that contain illegal, pornographic, abusive, or violent content, depict nudity, or violate another person’s privacy or intellectual property rights.
Photos disappear from the App 72 hours after upload, whether or not a parent has reviewed them. The deletion process for stored photos also begins at that time. This does not mean that every backup or provider-held copy is erased at the same moment. See Section 4 (Photo Confirmation) of our [Privacy Policy][privacy-policy] for details about photo access, permitted uses, storage, and deletion, including restricted backup copies.
We do not publish photos publicly, share them with other families, or use them for advertising, marketing, facial recognition, biometric identification, AI Weekly Insights, or AI model training.
If we reasonably believe that a photo raises concerns about a child’s safety, contains illegal or abusive content, or violates another person’s rights, we may remove the content, restrict Photo Confirmation, or suspend the account. We may also report the matter to the appropriate authorities where required by law.
5. Coins, Rewards, and Family Rules
Coins are virtual points used to support family habit tracking. They are not real currency, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between Family Accounts.
Parents and guardians are responsible for choosing and providing family rewards. We are not a party to reward arrangements between adults and children and are not responsible for purchasing or providing rewards created by users.
Tasks, family rules, and associated consequences must be lawful, safe, reasonable, and appropriate for the child’s age and abilities. You must not use the Service to humiliate, threaten, discriminate against, endanger, or otherwise mistreat a child.
6. AI Weekly Insights
AI Weekly Insights is available only to authenticated parents in parent mode through a Premium subscription purchased through the Apple App Store. Children cannot access the feature or view its reports.
Our backend calculates completion rates and other habit statistics. Google’s Gemini models use limited, structured summaries of these statistics to explain results and suggest practical next steps for parents. Our Privacy Policy describes the information used and how it is handled.
AI-generated content may contain errors, omit relevant context, or be unsuitable for a particular child or family. It is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not medical or legal advice, a psychological diagnosis, a child development assessment, or an educational evaluation.
Parents and guardians should use their own judgment when deciding whether to follow a suggestion. Do not rely solely on AI-generated content when making decisions that could significantly affect a child’s health, safety, education, or emotional well-being.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is processed in connection with these features, including any processing by third-party service providers.
7. Premium Subscriptions
RoutineRise kid offers the following auto-renewing Premium subscriptions. The prices below apply to the U.S. App Store and are in U.S. dollars. Canadian App Store prices are displayed in Canadian dollars before purchase:
| Plan | Price and billing period | Free trial |
|---|---|---|
| Annual | US$34.99, billed every 12 months | A one-week (7-day) free trial for eligible subscribers |
| Monthly | US$4.99, billed every month | No free trial included |
The annual subscription’s free trial takes place before the first paid 12-month billing period. If you are eligible for the trial, you will not be charged the subscription fee during those seven days. Unless you cancel in time, Apple will charge the annual price shown at purchase (US$34.99 in the U.S. App Store) for the first 12-month period when the trial ends, and the subscription will renew every 12 months thereafter. If you are not eligible for a trial, the annual subscription fee is charged when you confirm your purchase. The monthly subscription is charged when you confirm your purchase and renews each month.
Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and the offer shown at purchase. The included Premium features, applicable price, currency, taxes, billing period, and any eligible offer are displayed before you confirm your purchase. Prices may vary by country or region. The amount and currency shown on Apple’s purchase confirmation screen apply to your purchase.
Subscriptions purchased through the App Store are processed and billed by Apple using the payment method associated with your Apple Account. They renew automatically unless you cancel before renewal in accordance with the terms shown at purchase and Apple’s applicable subscription rules. Any future price changes are subject to applicable law and Apple’s notice and consent requirements.
If you do not want a free or discounted trial to renew, cancel it at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple device’s Settings under your name → Subscriptions. Apple also provides subscription cancellation instructions.
After canceling a paid subscription, you will generally retain Premium access until the end of the current paid billing period. Access after canceling a trial is subject to Apple’s rules and the terms of the offer.
Uninstalling the App, signing out, deleting a child profile, or deleting your RoutineRise kid account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription. You must cancel it separately through Apple.
Requests for refunds for App Store purchases should be submitted to Apple and are subject to Apple’s policies and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights you may have regarding payments or refunds.
8. Acceptable Use
You must not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or dangerous activities, to violate another person’s rights, or to harm, humiliate, harass, threaten, or exploit a child.
You must not:
- Access another family’s data without authorization.
- Bypass subscription, payment, permission, or security restrictions.
- Interfere with the Service, its servers, or connected networks.
- Upload or transmit malicious code.
- Scrape or copy Service content in bulk without permission, except as permitted by applicable law.
- Reverse engineer the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Use the Service for unauthorized commercial resale, advertising, data brokering, or surveillance.
If you violate these Terms, we may remove relevant content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate your account as described in Section 10.
9. Intellectual Property and Permission to Use the Service
Except for Family Content and third-party materials, the Service’s software, code, designs, interfaces, little monster characters, illustrations, animations, names, logos, text, habit content, database structures, and report designs belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, you may access and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. Your license to use the App is governed by the applicable App Store end-user license agreement, as explained in Section 12.
Except as permitted by applicable law or the applicable license, you must not copy, modify, sell, rent, sublicense, or create derivative works of the Service or our materials without our written permission. This restriction does not prevent you from using your own Family Content.
10. Service Availability and Account Termination
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service to improve functionality, maintain security, comply with the law, or meet platform requirements. Changes affecting paid subscriptions remain subject to applicable law and any rights associated with your purchase.
We aim to keep the Service running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every device, or protection against all data loss.
You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, go to:
Personal Center → Account Settings → Delete Account
Your Family Account is deleted immediately when you complete the deletion process, and connected child sessions are invalidated. Deletion also covers associated child records, habits, family rules, rewards, reports, and photos. The handling of stored copies and any limited retention is described in our Privacy Policy. Remember to cancel any App Store subscription separately, as explained in Section 7.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly violate these Terms, access another family’s information without authorization, commit fraud, upload illegal content, or create a safety risk for children or other users. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will notify you of the action. You may contact us with questions about an account restriction or termination.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that every habit suggestion will suit every child or that using the Service will help a child develop lasting habits, change their behavior, or achieve a particular result.
RoutineRise kid does not provide medical care, psychological therapy, child development assessments, educational evaluations, childcare, or emergency services.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including tasks, rewards, family rules, Family Content, interruptions to third-party services, or reliance on AI-generated suggestions.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid for the Service, including subscription payments collected through Apple, during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or restricts mandatory consumer rights. These limitations apply only to the extent permitted in your jurisdiction.
12. Apple App Store
For an App downloaded from the App Store, the applicable end-user license agreement governs your license to use the App. Unless we supply a separate custom end-user license agreement through the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies. These Terms govern our Service and do not replace that license agreement.
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We are responsible for the App and its content, and for any maintenance or support we offer or are required to provide. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
You must comply with the applicable App Store usage rules and third-party terms when using the App. Apple’s rights as a third-party beneficiary of the applicable end-user license agreement are governed by that agreement.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to our products, subscriptions, technology, platform requirements, or legal obligations. We will update the “Last updated” date when we do so.
If a change materially affects your rights or Premium subscription, we will provide notice through the App, by email, or by another reasonable method, including any advance notice required by law. The notice will explain when the revised Terms take effect.
By continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect, you accept them, except where applicable law requires separate consent. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and cancel any subscription you do not wish to renew.
